I’ve been a patient of Dr. Hess since 2021. He’s a very skilled chiropractor, and until recently I continued to return despite what appeared to be ongoing issues with staff turnover and internal/ conflicts with other medical practitioners. However, my most recent experience was so unprofessional, disrespectful, and inconsiderate that I feel compelled to speak out. Before renewing my health insurance, I specifically called the office to confirm which plans they accepted. Based on their confirmation, and after double-checking with both my insurance agent and the insurance company, I chose a comprehensive (and expensive) PPO policy **specifically to continue seeing Dr. Hess.** One day before my appointment, his staff called again to verify that my plan was accepted and that my co-pay would be zero. Yet, when I arrived for my appointment, the receptionist abruptly told me they would NOT accept my policy after all. When I reminded her that they had confirmed multiple times that they did, she replied rudely that the only way I could see Dr. Hess was to pay out-of-pocket, and she added, “If you don’t like it, you can go somewhere else.” I was stunned. This was not only unprofessional but deeply disrespectful on various levels. Patients deserve honesty, consistency, and basic courtesy - not to be misled about coverage and then dismissed. I texted Dr. Hess directly afterward to give him the opportunity to address the situation. It has now been over a week, and he has not responded at all. Unfortunately, this silence speaks volumes. I’ve supported Dr. Hess over the years, even defending him when others spoke negatively about his conduct behind the scenes. But after this experience, I can no longer do so. **No patient deserves to be treated this way.**

Amazing, strong young healthy chiropractor. Extremely knowledgeable. A very good well listener. Great bedside manners. I use Dr. Hess for about four months and have nothing but good to say about him. I will be returning to him sometime soon. He worked diligently and gave me a lot of relief. I highly recommend him, to anyone who is in need of chiropractic relief. The secretary is also a very nice person clean office and fast waiting. Period. They respect your time.

Andrea is great! So glad I found her. I feel like she's a part of my life and not just a medical professional. Super personable and honest. I appreciate honestly more than anything these days so that was highly important to me. I haven't met Dr. Hess but he did have input on my health conditions and I appreciate them as a team to put their heads together and really make it make sense. Thanks so much Andrea!

Dr. Hess is amazing! I needed a chiropractor , went online rather than looking up who was in my insurance plan. and went to Riverside Chiropractic Office, they were very nice did a back adjustment. I went home and looked up a chiropractor in my plan. That is how I found Dr. Hess. What an unbelievably different experience! I feel so much better , My alignment is better and I will continue to see Dr. Ryan Hess.

I met Dr. Hess at Elite Fitness when he had his office there in 2013-2014. He was, hands down, the best DC I'd ever been to. I have since moved back to my home state of Wisconsin and haven't had the pleasure of visiting his practice in at least 6 years, but I'll tell you what- I still talk about this guy. Any time chiropractic comes up I go on about, "the best (expletive) chiropractor I've ever seen." I had an adjustment with a new doc today and it reminded me of how helpful Dr. Hess was. Since it doesn't do any good to brag about him to people who live 1,200 miles away, I thought I'd drop by and leave a review. Dr. Hess, you made a lasting impact on my health. I could never thank you enough, and hope you are well my friend.
