Called today after recommendation from insurance company and researching online. I had already completed intake paperwork on the website and insurance told me it would be $30 co-pay. I called, picked an appointment time and the female who answered then said: "There is a $75 fee that we require to book an appointment. Would you like to proceed?" She didn't slow down, explain the reason for this. I was puzzled and she had a tone of not having the patience to explain. I work in health care and book my own appointments. There are unexpected fees and clients need to be gently walked through these a bit more slowly, especially if they are unexpected. I would have been willing to pay if the whole conversation was slowed down and had a touch of warmth. I tried to call back to see if they took insurance at all - the call was picked up but hung up. Then called back and went to VM. They could be a great chiropractor. While I may never know but at least you know what you might expect when you call.

Back in February, I had suddenly developed right eye blurriness and intense, daily migraines. Medications would only sooth the migraine, massages would only temporarily ease the pain, and nothing would help the blurriness. I went back and forth thinking if this was a neck problem, or a sudden development of late onset vision issues. It took me three months to finally realize that these symptoms were not going away, and in fact, getting worse. So, I decided to look up local chiropractics, and I am kicking myself that I did not find Barry Family Chiropractic sooner. I can't thank Dr. Neal enough for what he has already done for me. Instead of each of the vertebrae in my cervical spine moving separately, they were moving as one giant segment, and the top two are pressing on my sub occipital region (hence the right eye blurriness). I began with once a week adjustments, changed my work and sleeping positions, and continue to track my headaches/migraines. I have been going for almost two months now and Dr. Neal says that I am making great progress, and can now come every two weeks. My migraines/headaches are now only presenting about 1 time per week (versus the previous daily), and I have had minimal visual issues (it does seem to flare up during stressful times, but that is a separate issue I am working on). My sleeping is better, my neck moves and feels much better. I highly recommend Dr. Neal at Barry Family Chiropractic for any of you spine needs. Dr. Neal and his wife are very knowledgeable, positive, and passionate about their work and they have a very efficient and friendly receptionist. The staff in general makes it very welcoming to come to appointments each day!
