I'm typically a skeptic when trying out new health/wellness services and I was the same going into this for my first visit (at the recommendation of my wife who had already been a handful of times and reported all positive things). At the time of my visit I had just become intimately educated on what a sciatic nerve was and why it's so horrible to be on its bad side. My lower back was in severe pain and it was beginning to move down my leg. My pain threshold is fairly high but it was becoming audibly painful just to sit, drive my car, or sleep. I saw Dr. Assemi 5 times - roughly twice a week - and I was notably in better shape after each visit. I never felt rushed, or treated as a quick buck. I felt very well cared for, and with his knowledge was advised on how to better my situation even after our sessions. He even encouraged work at the gym in an effort to better my posture - which is something I wouldn't have expected from any doctor. Dr. Assemi is now part of my health regimen whenever I have back/neck issues that would benefit from a visit. Also note that the location show on the map is a bit off...he's in the building on the northeast side of Larchmont/Clinton.

If you are looking for a great chiropractor, you've found one here! I recommend Core Practic even to those who are a bit nervous of chiropractors. I have had five or six other chiropractors in Los Angeles, and I always found it difficult to relax for adjustments in the past. Not anymore! Dr. Asseimi is truly skilled and very caring. You feel confident that he knows what he is doing, and my results have been nearly immediately apparent. By that I mean that I walk in with pain from something out of place or muscles in spasm and I have always been able to get relief, sometimes only partial pain relief but often total pain relief! Obviously that varies depending on the type of problem and the severity of the situation, but I can't get results this great consistently from anything else (not even anti inflammatory pain relievers.) Okay. So he knows what he is doing, but there is still another thing that sets him apart. When you are in pain and you call him, he always tries to help. I mean like same day appointments if he can! He has frequently seen me in a few hours when my back was in spasm. He even shifted his schedule around to work me in for an emergency. That makes the difference for me. This chiropractor is both competent and compassionate. He's the real deal!

This place is dirty and rustic looking. They will charge your insurance expenses that were never part of your initial payment. Overpriced for your first visit.
