I am sharing my experience to hopefully stop someone else from having the same one. I’m so disappointed, I was referred to this practice by a dear friend. Initially I trusted both the Receptionist/Office Manager and Dr. Chenoweth. I mean he has been in business for over 20 years. The first thing that made me Leary was that in the lobby there was a sign that read “Case of the Month; Allergies! Consult, x Ray, Exam $20” so I thought okay cool, I’ll owe maybe $60 today (yes, I should have asked how much my bill would be BEFORE I talked with the Dr. but I didn’t). I proceeded to explain my pain. And then had X-Rays done. He said we would speak later in the week about them. At check out i found out I owed $300, which shocked me. I asked to pay $95 at this visit bc I was not expecting that much. The office manager said “oh yes that is fine” When I arrived at home I received a phone call asking me to Come back for more x rays bc there was something the Dr had to see, I quickly got back there for the repeat x rays. I thought wow I love these people they are so thorough. As I was leaving the Dr told me He thought I some birth defects on my back and I laughed bc I thought he was joking. He said “no, Really! We will talk later once I review them more”. So I came back later in the week and he tells me I have The beginnings of Disc Degenerative Disease, birth defects on my L4 and L5. That I’m losing the natural curvature in the back of my neck and my pelvis is shifted to the left. I was shocked. It seemed to make sense bc of the amount of pain I’m in. I asked for the name of my birth defect and he let me know there was not a name for it. He offered to start treatment that day. I left feeling scared and defeated. After doing some research I found that these diagnoses could possibly, one day cause me to be in a position to need to stop working, and rely on assistance for income. As a young women this was very scary. I decided to get a second opinion bc it seemed so serious. I found myself at The Alabama Orthopedic Group, the check in was seemless. I had x rays done. The dr immediately came back in and said your back looks perfect! No birth defects! No disc degenerative disease! He referred me to physical therapy with a spinal specialist, and assured me he would stick with it until my back was no longer in pain. He also prescribed an anti inflammatory. The weight of the world was lifted off of my shoulders! I still feel so deceived though. I personally feel like Dr. Chenoweth is Motivated by money vs practing good medicine. How they have been in business so long I have no clue.

Such a great Doctor, he gets right to the problem, if you need to be fixed call this place the staff here is oh so wonderful ❤️

Love Dr Chenoweth and his staff. I feel so much better since I started treatment there. They listen, they care and they really help.
